The Day Soldiers Series Initiative

Dear TV Folks,

I’ll get right to the point…

I’ve come to an important conclusion: Day Soldiers belongs on TV.

What is Day Soldiers, you ask?

Well, simply put, Day Soldiers is a series of novels with a growing fan base, some wonderful reviews, and a style that is perfect for a television series.

Let’s start with the book’s trailer:

That trailer is the opening scene of Day Soldiers. The book then jumps forward a decade. Humanity has been at war with the creatures of darkness for ten years. A worldwide military organization, The Day Soldiers, is humanity’s last, best chance to drive the darkness back to the shadows.

The novels tell the story of Lily Baxter, a headstrong young woman who ends up leading a team of Day Soldiers. This tale is many things, but – at its core – it’s an adventure story about people.

Make no mistake, the vampires and werewolves in Day Soldiers are not the melancholy heartthrobs we’ve seen in recent years. These creatures are monsters. They’re the reason people are afraid of the dark. In Day Soldiers, no vampire laments his own condition. My readers have found this take exciting and refreshing.

With a strong female lead, a great cast of supporting characters, and plenty of humor, adventure, and action, Day Soldiers is a perfect fit for TV.

But hey, don’t take my word for it. Here are a few quotes from the reviews on Amazon and Goodreads:

“Hale did an excellent job of reworking a great genre, vampire and werewolf, into something different and exciting that stayed true to its roots. If you love vampires (not the sparkly kind) and werewolves (not the half-naked kind) then this books is a must-read!”

“This story is definitely not your average vampire/werewolf tale, and I enjoyed every minute.”

“With all the ‘cookie cutter’ vampire and werewolf series out there, Day Soldiers is a breath of fresh air in a jaded genre.”

“That was amazing. I could so picture it as a movie and would definitely go see it. I loved the adventure and action and suspense.”

“Read this if you want an unpredictable story and a return to dangerous, unsparkly vampires.”

“Even if you do not like werewolves and vampires, you can still enjoy this book purely because of the storyline and all the twists and turns.”

That not good enough for you? Well, here are some fake quotes I completely made up:

“My family was attacked by vampires when I was 7. This book helped me work through those painful memories.”

“After I read Day Soldiers I developed the ability to change traffic lights with my mind. Now, I’m not saying the two are connected, but are you really willing to take that chance?”

“I wish Day Soldiers were a person instead of a book so I could marry it.”

My readers agree with me… Day Soldiers and TV belong together.

On my Official Facebook Page, I mentioned the idea of trying to get Day Soldiers made as a TV show and here are the immediate (real) responses I got:

“Count me in!”

“What do we need to do to help?”

“I’m in.”

“I’m in!! This will work.”

“Me! Me!”

“Count me in!”

“I lend you my services”

“That’s an awesome idea!”

“Amazing idea, sir!”

“Count me in!”

So, as you can see, there is support for this idea. We’ve even created a Day Soldiers TV Initiative Facebook Page.

I humbly and respectfully request you think this over. Together, we can bring fans a great apocalyptic tale of The War Against the Darkness.

If you’re interested, you can get a copy of the first Day Soldiers absolutely free in various venues (listed below).

Thanks for your time, TV people. I look forward to a long and prosperous relationship.
